For socks #2 I thought I would actually get some good yarn and a commercial pattern. So off to the LYS (local yarn store) where I purchased some bamboo double point needles, a beginner book on knitting socks and what I thought was some good DK wt yarn. The results are some lovely purple socks that were given to my daughter for Christmas. Things I learned were - use natural fibers and not acrylic, use even smaller needles and that frogging isn't a bad thing.
