This has to be my favorite pair of socks to date. The yarn is a worsted weight 100% wool that was a dream to work with - so soft and thick when completed. The colors were subtile but very dramatic if you look closely - reminded me of the dark colors of a woodland pond. That is how the name came about (with a little help from a quilter friend who is doing a pond quilt). The pattern was simple but had a nice texture. I'm definately going to be knitting this pattern and yarn again!
