This is a wall quilt done in scrappy patriotic fabric. The star field consists of 6 Friendship Stars set on a navy background with the red and white stripes done in the Log Cabin block. Machine pieced and hand quilted with a zig zag design in the stripes. This quilt was made from a pattern called "It's a Grand Old Flag" from The Whole Country Caboodle.

Finished just before the first anniversary of the terrorist attacks on America, it carries my hopes and prayers that this wonderful country will never again witness such an assault on our shores.
